I like the way he use colours, composition and material. When I think of water, the first thing that come up is liquid and flowing but he turn liquid to a strong object which is ice. Rough texture and shape of ice are contrast with the plain background and circle plate which make the ice stand out in this work!
First time that I saw this work, It remind me of Thai chandelier because she use gold colours which is I usually see in Thai art ex. wall painting at the temple, palace, Thai traditional house. Moreover, the repetition of lines give sense of exquisite beauty.
For me this is the good example of material that can change perception of viewer. Although she create an object with similar shape but I have different feeling through it because of material. Since plastic is an artificial it make the bristle look strong and hard. On the other hand, she replace the plastic by fabric so it make me feel soft and comfort.
Geometric shape and line in this work is very interesting because it has only line and circle. The way she composed each element on each other it give a sense of construction which contrast with the photograph that she took that give a sense of movement.
This work change my aspect of The Little Prince that I have seen before from soft colours and look naive to horror. Since draw by fabric with red so it look like blood. Moreover, he also putting the fabric that he use to draw in the frame. Interestingly, the fabric he used is look like “Gauze” that usually use in medical field.
